The treatment of the future.
Our Journey with Qinematic started at the beginning of 2019. We are constantly looking for methods and technology for the treatments of the future. The 3D scans and feedback software were eye opening for our team. Access to objective information was a surprisingly easy, simple and accurate way to look into a client's biomechanics and movement patterns. For the therapists it felt like when the medicine was discovered for anesthesia.
Impact of Covid-19 & the reaction from Waterbear
We made a good start to 2020, until the COVID -19 pandemic imposed social distancing. This affected our busy clinic tremendously. Clinicians could not consult with patients in person, and manual treatment was not possible.
The entire physical therapy / rehabilitation industry is under threat, despite so many people suffering at home from musculoskeletal, neurological and chronic cases. Physical therapist need to do a subjective assessment and a functional assessment to diagnose problems and make recommendations.
High quality interventions and Client satisfaction
For us at Waterbear, Qinematic software was the right digital tool at the right time. It enabled the physiotherapists to combine high-quality online feedback and prescription of corrective exercises.
With Qinematic system we have now supported more than 245 patients of our community in just one month. The bonus effect was high customer satisfaction and high efficiency of our Physios. They love the tool.
The way we work is simple. We put the portable scan unit in an isolated area. The scan is automated so we did not need to physically meet the patients. It takes just a few minutes to record the movements, and then they have an online consultation with our therapists – all from the comfort of their homes.
Now we can measure, assess, monitor and engage patients as they do their prescribed exercise plans and follow our advice.
